El Perdón

Forgiveness, a profound human experience, is reimagined by Cynthia Saide in collaboration with women deprived of liberty at the Santa Martha Acatitla Social Reintegration Center. Through 25 works created in painting workshops, the exhibition transforms personal stories of pain and resilience into a universal dialogue on reconciliation, dignity, and second chances. From intimate emotions to shared experiences, these works highlight art’s power to humanize, to foster empathy, and to inspire change within and beyond walls.

Supported by UNODC, SSC and CCE, the project affirms art as a transformative tool for social reintegration, while celebrating resilience, cultural identity, and the hope of building a more just and compassionate society.
