Statement

My work is mostly focused on how I perceive myself emotionally. I seek to capture feelings, ideas, emotions and aspects of what I live day by day, representing realistic paintings focusing on the human figure. I started in 2019 the project “Adfectus”, in each painting I make I seek to capture the feelings, perceptions and sensation that people reflect to me. Personally,  I consider art and the nature of human feelings to be vital aspects of culture and history.

These paintings honor my unique vision, where each color represents an emotion. The creative process lasted for approximately three years and the conception of the idea consisted of writing my feelings, studying color psychology, creating the sketches, thinking in compositions, making the selection of models and more aspects. Each time I work with still life models for my compositions, I try to capture what they are thinking and feeling, it also helps me to understand proportions and experiment with techniques.
